ClockShark Alternative for Spanish-Speaking Crews: Honest Feature Comparison
A side-by-side look at how ClockShark and Clokku actually work: app language, support hours, seat minimums, photo clock-in, and what a 10-person crew really pays.
Your foreman speaks Spanish. Half your crew speaks Spanish. You do payroll on Friday and you need to know, without calling anybody, who was on which job and for how long.
So you start looking at time tracking apps. ClockShark shows up first — it has been around a long time and it is built for construction and field service, not for office workers. Then you hit the details: what exactly is in Spanish, who answers when your foreman calls at 6pm Eastern on a Saturday, how many seats you are locked into, and how long the agreement runs.
This is that comparison, laid out feature by feature. No hand-waving. Where a fact could not be verified on ClockShark’s own site, it says so instead of guessing.
What ClockShark genuinely does well
Start here, because it matters for your decision.
ClockShark states it is “trusted by more than 9,500 companies and over 100,000 field service and construction professionals worldwide.” That is a real install base in your exact vertical, and it shows in the product.
Things ClockShark does that Clokku does not:
- Payroll and accounting integrations, plenty of them. Their official list includes QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online, RUN Powered by ADP, ADP Workforce Now, Sage 100 Contractor, Xero, Zapier (1,000+ apps), Simpro, Paychex, Gusto, MYOB and Paylocity. Clokku integrates with QuickBooks Online only, and only on Pro.
- Phone support with no premium tier. Their words: “There’s no charge for service calls, chats or emails. There is no ‘premium support’ package - It’s all included for free.” Toll-free line for the US and Canada: 800-828-0689.
- A continuous GPS breadcrumb trail. ClockShark stamps GPS at each clock-in and clock-out and records a breadcrumb every 10 to 15 minutes while the employee is on the clock. Clokku captures GPS only at clock-in and clock-out — no continuous tracking. Which of those you want depends on your crew.
- PTO tracking, multi-department and multi-location controls, advanced job costing controls, and shift wrap-up and compliance forms on their Pro plan.
- A Kiosk app for a shared device — 4-digit PIN plus facial recognition, so a crew without company phones can punch on one tablet at the shop.
- Automatic break and meal-period recording that, per their site, “can be configured to comply with specific state and local laws.”
- Drag-and-drop scheduling on their entry tier. Clokku puts the visual scheduler on Pro.
- A contractual uptime SLA — 99.5%, with service credits of 6% to 10% of the monthly fee as the sole remedy (Terms, §3).
If any of those are must-haves, keep reading but weigh them heavily.

One more piece of context: ClockShark is part of Simpro Group — their own contact page routes press to press@simprogroup.com, and Simpro is a native integration partner. That is relevant if you already run Simpro.
Real cost for a 10-person crew
Verified ClockShark pricing as of 31 July 2026, from their live pricing page, in USD.
ClockShark Standard, 10 crew members
- Base: $40/mo
- Users: 10 × $9 = $90/mo
- Total: $130/mo — $1,560/yr
ClockShark Pro, 10 crew members
- Base: $60/mo
- Users: 10 × $11 = $110/mo
- Total: $170/mo — $2,040/yr
Two things to check before you sign. First, whether your own admin login counts as a billed user is not published on their pricing page — ask them. Second, their pricing page carries this line: “Contract term of three (3) years applies to all pricing plans.” At $130/mo, a three-year term is $4,680. Their Terms also state services renew automatically and that “all fees are non-refundable.” On the fair side, they do prorate: “You’ll only pay for users that are active, for the days they were active.”
Clokku, 10 crew members
- Pro: $49/mo, 10 employees included, owner not counted as an employee
- Total: $49/mo — $588/yr billed monthly, or $490/yr billed annually (annual is 10× the monthly price, so two months free)
Worth noting: Clokku Essentials would cost $29 + 5 extra employees × $5 = $54/mo at ten people, so Pro at $49 is the cheaper path once you cross ten. See the full breakdown on Clokku pricing.
Difference at ten people: $130/mo vs $49/mo. Over a 36-month span that is $4,680 versus $1,764 monthly, or $1,470 on annual billing.
But cheaper is not automatically right. ClockShark Standard at $130 includes the ADP, Xero, Gusto, Paychex and Paylocity connections and the drag-and-drop scheduler. If your payroll runs through ADP, that $81/mo gap may buy back more than it costs. Note too that ClockShark’s ADP connector carries an extra charge — their integrations page says it “costs only a few dollars per month,” without publishing the amount.
Annual pricing or an annual discount for ClockShark is not published; their Terms acknowledge monthly, annual and multi-year terms exist, but the amounts are not public. Ask for them in writing.
When ClockShark is the better choice for you
Genuinely pick ClockShark if:
- Your payroll runs on ADP, Xero, Gusto, Paychex, Paylocity, MYOB or Sage 100 Contractor. This is the single strongest reason. Clokku does not connect to any of those today.
- You need PTO tracking inside the time app. ClockShark Pro has it. Clokku does not.
- You need a continuous breadcrumb trail, not just a stamp at each punch — for example on service routes where you must reconstruct the whole day.
- Part of your crew has no smartphone. The Kiosk app on a shared tablet with PIN plus facial recognition solves that cleanly. Note the Kiosk app is English-only.
- You want to pick up a phone during business hours. Mon–Fri, 5:00am–5:00pm PT, no support tiers, no upcharge.
- You need automatic break and meal-period compliance configured to specific state and local rules.
- You run multiple departments or locations and need advanced job costing controls.
- You want a written uptime SLA. ClockShark publishes 99.5% with credits.
- You are in Australia or New Zealand. ClockShark publishes AUD pricing (Standard A$48 base + A$11/user; Pro A$68 base + A$13/user, invoiced in AUD excluding GST) and integrates MYOB.
When Clokku fits you better
- You do not want a three-year term. Clokku is month-to-month or annual, your call, and you can leave.
- Your crew is small or seasonal. Start on the free plan with 3 employees, pay nothing, and grow into Essentials or Pro. There is no free tier on ClockShark.
- You want photo proof on every single punch, on every plan. Photo plus GPS at clock-in and clock-out is included even on Clokku Free. On ClockShark, photo capture is documented through the Kiosk app; per-punch selfies from a worker’s own phone are not.
- Spanish is not a checkbox for you. App in Spanish, admin panel in Spanish, and support in Spanish over WhatsApp on Pro during LATAM/EST hours — which is when your foreman actually texts you. ClockShark publishes Spanish in the mobile app; Spanish-speaking agents and their hours are not stated on their site.
- Your crew pushes back on being tracked all day. Clokku marks location at clock-in and clock-out and nothing in between. That is an easier conversation on a jobsite than a live breadcrumb.
- You want predictable seats. Ten employees included on Pro, $7/mo for each one after, and the owner’s login is not billed. No minimum commitment clause to negotiate.
- You want to be running today, not after an onboarding call. Setup takes about 10 minutes, no credit card for the 14-day trial, no setup fee. Start at the Clokku home page.
One more data point worth checking yourself
Reviews split by source, and you should look at both. On Capterra, ClockShark sits at 4.7/5 across 1,911 reviews, with strong marks for customer service. On the app stores as of 31 July 2026, the current ClockShark Time Tracking app rates 2.97/5 from 64 ratings on iOS and 3.40/5 from 88 ratings on Android. They also still have two iOS apps published — the current one released in 2024 and a legacy one last updated April 2024 — which some reviewers say is confusing.
Read the app store reviews before you decide. Your crew uses the phone app every day; you use the web panel once a week.
