Clokku privacy policy

This policy explains how Clokku collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile app. We want to be clear about the data we need to provide time tracking, location-based clock-ins, and team support.

1. Information we collect

We collect the information required to run and improve the app:

Google sign-in data

Your email address, name, and profile photo when you sign in with Google. We do not collect additional Google data unless you explicitly provide it.

Precise geolocation

Precise location when you use location-based features, such as clocking in at a job site, to validate attendance and field activity.

Time tracking data

Clock-in and clock-out times, total time worked, and notes added to time entries. This supports features such as PDF and CSV reporting.

Device information

Non-personal data such as device type and operating system version to improve performance and compatibility.

We do not collect other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it inside the app.

2. How we use your information

We use collected data to deliver and improve Clokku services:

Location-based services

To power features such as location-based clock-ins and other workflows tied to a job site.

Time tracking

To record, manage, and report working hours and team activity.

Communication

To send account notices, notifications, and messages related to features or support.

Analytics and product improvement

To understand app usage, detect issues, and improve the user experience.

We do not use your personal information for purposes outside the scope of this policy.

3. Data security

We use industry-standard protections, including encryption, secure storage, and access controls, to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

That said, no transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Tracking and location

Clokku uses precise geolocation for features such as recording your location when you clock in or out. That may be treated as a form of tracking under laws such as GDPR or CCPA.

The app asks for permission before using location. You can disable it at any time in your device or app settings. The website may use analytics and interaction measurement tools, such as page metrics, clicks, heatmaps, or session recordings, to improve the experience and understand which content performs best.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the last updated date.

If changes are material, we may notify you by email or in-app when appropriate. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
